Fall/Winter 2024-25: Programs/Registration

 

BEGINNERS 3v3 LACROSSE - beginner/brand new players
Coed, Grades 2-12 in the 2024-25 school year

Begins 9/9; Ends 10/28


BEST FOR: Brand new and beginning players who want to try lacrosse in a fun game format. Learn to throw, catch and play in no time, with soft balls, small teams and simple rules. No protective gear required.


When: Mondays, 5-6:30 pm 
7 sessions beginning 9/9; No session during Fall break

Where: Miguel Ribera Park

Cost: $75, includes reversible; $15 additional for a stick to keep

Requirements: Lacrosse stick


 


 

FALL BALL (LOCAL) - novice to advanced players

Boys and Girls, Grades 2-12 in the 2024-25 school year

Begins the week of 9/2; Ends 10/26 with optional Halloween 3v3 Tournament

Session Days/Times


BEST FOR: Novice to advanced players who want to learn and improve skills, and get informal game experience at inter league scrimmages. Athletes playing other Fall sports are encouraged to drop in and play when they are able. Full gear required. 


When:  Session Days/Times  
2x week (one weekday, one weekend)
12 Sessions; No sessions week of 10/7 for Fall break

Cost: $155, includes reversible

Requirements: Full gear (see gear guide); USA Lacrosse membership valid through Oct. 26


 

 

 

FALL 6U COED (LOCAL)

Coed, 4 to 6 years old

Begins 9/9; Ends 10/23

Session Days/Times


6U is a player’s introduction to the game, and focuses on lots of FUN, fundamentals, simple rules of play and good sportsmanship. Play with soft balls, no protective gear required. 


When: Session Days/Times
12 Sessions, 1-2x week
No session week of 10/7 for Fall break

Where:  Virginia Foothills Park and Swope Middle School

Cost: $95, includes reversible; $15 additional for a stick to keep

Requirements: Lacrosse stick; USA Lacrosse 6U membership valid through Oct. 26, 2024


 


 

HALLOWEEN/NEVADA DAY 3v3 TOURNEY (LOCAL)

All ages and skill levels

10/26/24


Celebrate Nevada Day and Halloween with some fast-paced purely-for-the-fun-of-it 3v3 lacrosse for the whole family. Prizes for the winning teams; prizes for the best costumes; treats for everyone!


What: 3x3 Coed Tournament

  • Soft balls; no gear required
  • All ages and abilities welcome
  • 3 game minimum per team
  • Additional details pending

Where:  Cold Springs Village Center Park

Cost:  $20/team



 

 

GIRLS INDOOR 6v6 (LOCAL) - novice to advanced players

Girls Grades 5th through 12th

Begins 11/5/24


BEST FOR: Intermediate to advanced players who want to learn and improve skills, and get informal game experience with 6v6 inter league scrimmages. Full gear required. 


When:  Tuesdays beginning 11/5/24

  • 5th - 7th grade 6-8 pm
  • 8th - 12th grade 8-10 pm

Where:  Sportsdome South Meadows

Cost: 250, or included with fully paid Year-Round Avalanche or 10U Avalanche Registration

Requirements: Lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard;  USA Lacrosse membership valid through Feb. 2025


 


 

BOYS BOX/INDOOR HOUSE LEAGUE (LOCAL) - intermediate to advanced players

Boys Grades 3 through 12

Begins the week of 11/6


BEST FOR: Intermediate to advanced players who want to learn the basics of Box Lacrosse and improve skills and fundamentals with fast-paced indoor play. 


When:

Wednesdays beginning 11/6

  • 3rd - 4th grade 5-7 pm
  • 9th - 12th grade 7-9 pm

Thursdays beginning 11/7

  • 5th - 6th grade 6-8 pm
  • 7th - 8th grade 8-10 pm

Where:  Sportsdome South Meadows

Cost:  $200 or included with fully paid Year-Round or 10U Avalanche Registration

Requirements: Full field gear plus Box rib and bicep pads; USA Lacrosse membership valid through Jan, 2025.


 


 

MEN’S INDOOR FALL League (LOCAL) - experienced players 

Adults + invite-only varsity level Juniors and Seniors

Thursdays Beginning 9/12


BEST FOR: Experienced adults


When: Thursdays, time TBA; 12 sessions

Where:  Sportsdome South Meadows

Cost:  $125

Requirements: Full field gear; USA Lacrosse membership valid through at least Feb. 2025


 


 

EXTENDED AVALANCHE FALL-WINTER (TRAVEL)
For advanced players

Boys and Girls , Grades 3-12


FOR: ADVANCED players ready for strong competition and a travel lacrosse experience. Travel teams will compete in two-four regional tournaments. Avalanche is not for beginning players, and travel rosters will be filled with the best available players. Players are not guaranteed a spot on any given tournament roster.


When: 2-3 tournaments Nov through Jan; 1-2 practices/week Nov through Jan

Where:  Practice locations TBD

Cost:  $400 + $175 per tourney attended
